EQUITY, DIVERSITY, AND INCLUSION
I believe that equity in architecture begins with recognizing the dignity of every person and designing in a way that reflects that worth. As a student, I have seen how respectful collaboration, humility, and listening shape not only the studio environment but also the projects themselves. An inclusive learning space allows for a diversity of voices, which leads to richer and more grounded design solutions. In my work, I try to practice this by paying close attention to context and to the lived experiences of others, so that the spaces I design do not exclude but instead invite and belong. Rooted in my faith, I see inclusion as part of honoring people made in the image of God, treating each project not as an abstract exercise, but as care for human lives. In the future, I hope to carry this same spirit into practice, ensuring that both the process and the outcomes of design serve people with fairness, respect, and belonging.
